Rational Theistic Luciferianism: Rational Theism

This is the thirteenth article in a series on Rational Theistic Luciferianism, for the other articles on Satanism see (more recent first):

Rational Theistic Luciferianism is both an occult practise and a meta-religion. It's a blueprint for your own personal Luciferian religion, philosophy or occult practise. You're more than welcome to use any of the ideas and symbols here for your own spiritual journey, or to adopt Rational Theistic Luciferianism directly.

Brains are simply amazing, the most amazing thing we know.

A vast biological neural net, effectively empty at birth (well, minimal training of very primal models) the only truly intuitive thing is the nipple. Absolutely everything else is learned. Capable of reprogramming itself even into adulthood by growing new connections when we learn new things. Also capable of ossifying, for those who do not wish to learn.

From the introduction to "Discovering the Brain":
"The brain is the last and grandest biological frontier, the most complex thing we have yet discovered in our universe. It contains hundreds of billions of cells interlinked through trillions of connections. The brain boggles the mind."
Unfortunately trauma, the normal rigours of an awful life, cause neural nets to not function optimally. Because of this evolution was forced to provide us with vastly more brain power than we need. Redundancy to cope with functioning in the face of the savagery we find around us. So if you can work out how to get your neural nets functioning optimally, mindfulness of breathing being the most powerful way I know, even the simplest amongst us has great power of thought and understanding.

The magick is alive but we bury it under concrete and tarmac. As if that could hold it.

Rational Theistic Luciferianism is compatible with an atheist philosophy because it acknowledges that our whole experience of life happens within the mind.

Theism is a more powerful mindset, that's why we pick it. In your reality (experience of life) an infinite source of life, the source of all life, is your life. That more closely mirrors the natural operation of the human mind at its peak.

God is a great word for describing our connection to everything. And everything is bigger than us.

And on the question of the objective existence of God... Does God exist or not? There's a definitive answer but a lot of you won't like it. Here's the answer: Does God exist or not? You can never know.

Any experience of God must be psychological and therefore, short of miracles, there can't be any objective proof. So it cannot be proven, ever. And even with a miracle you can't prove there isn't a non-miraculous explanation. So you just can't ever prove the existence of God. If God did exist, having created reality in the way it exists now, we could never prove they existed. So we'd have to stop worrying about that question.

The assertion "God does not exist" is unfalsifiable. There is no way to prove it wrong.

However, the human animal has been gifted by evolution the capacity to connect with and experience what the mystics call the divine and the religious call God and the unbeliever mocks. So it's not a question of believing or not believing, it's a question of using the faculties of your mind or not.

I don't believe in the supernatural, I merely believe that the natural is far more super than we give it credit for.

Demons are ancient gods bound under a curse. That's one perspective anyway. They're aspects of collective human consciousness and aspects of the divine (which are the same thing). The supernal and the infernal.

The word "demon" is Greek of origin and came into English via Latin. Originally it meant something more akin to "helper spirit", similar in intent to the "daemon processes" of computing. Running in the background performing important tasks.

Angels and demons are Abrahamic terms for the gods and goddesses (the spiritual entities). The only difference between an angel and a demon, according to the Abrahamic traditions, is what side you think they're on (the fall of Lucifer and one third of all angels who were thereafter known as demons).

So the goddess Asherah and the gods Baal and Moloch, worshipped by the Canaanites, were called demons.

Even within the Abrahamic traditions there are angels of death on the side of God and Samael, the most powerful demon below Lucifer, is called the servant of the Lord.

    References:
Exodus 12:23 For the LORD will pass through the land to strike down the Egyptians. But when he sees the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe, the LORD will pass over your home. He will not permit his death angel to enter your house and strike you down.
Some translations use "Destroyer" (Abaddon) instead of "Angel of Death" here.

In this passage the demons are called angels.
Revelation 12:7-9 And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war, and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
The Angel of Death at work:
2 Kings 19:35 Then it happened that night that the angel of the Lord went out and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men rose early in the morning, behold, all of them were dead.
The term demon comes from the same tradition that says this:
Isaiah 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
The medieval Grimoire "The Lesser Key of Solomon" describes how King Solomon bound and enslaved demons to build his temple. The ancient gods bound under a curse. In The Book of Goetia, contained within the Grimoire, many chiefs of demons are described with rituals for summoning. The Crowley & Mathers translation of The Book of Goetia adds invocations to the evocations. In the introduction to Goetia Crowley describes the demons as regions of the mind, although later he changed his mind and ascribed objective spiritual existence to them. I fail to see the difference; as above so below, as within so without.

It is said that Crowley evoked the demon King Paimon to visible appearance through the use of Goetic rituals.

Also medieval, the Qabala is Hebrew mysticism including the tree of life and the Sephira with angelic correspondences. The infernal counterpart for working with traditionally demonic entities and correspondences is called the Qlipoth. These have a strong presence in Western esotericism and modern ceremonial magick.

Some people claim that all the spiritual entities found in the Abrahamic faiths are taken from the Sumerian via the Egyptian. Just because you find correspondences between mythology from different cultures doesn't automatically make them the same entity or mean one culture copied another. That's a fairly basic error in mythology. Correspondence between mythologies happen because humans are the same everywhere. More or less.

It was correspondences between mythologies and symbols across different cultures who had no contact with each other that led Jung to form his concept of the collective unconscious.

Some entities are the same and gods absorb other gods or combine to form syncretisms.

The godesses Inanna and Ishtar and Astarte and Ashtoreth, worshipped for over 2000 years across several cultures, are the same entity for example. The evening star; Lucifer in her evening aspect.

Inanna absorbed a male war god to become the morning star as well, whilst retaining her female name and identity. Yahweh absorbed the Canaanite war god El as another example.

Millennia later the goddess Ashtoreth would be masculinised to become the demon Astaroth, a Duke of Hell.

Baal, or perhaps one of the Baals, later became Baal'Zebub the Lord of the Buzzing Flies and chief amongst demons to the Christians. Another famous demon in Christian mythology was called Legion, for they are many. Beelzebub is considered one of the demonic trinity along with Lucifer and Astaroth.

The Stele of Revealing (circa 680–70 BCE) shows an Egyptian syncretic god and inspired Crowley to form his own syncretic deities from the Egyptian pantheon.

In the Stele of Revealing Ankh-ef-en-Khonsu can be seen as a priest of Montu; he is presenting offerings to the falcon-headed god Re-Harakhty ("Re-Horus of the Two Horizons"), a syncretic form of the gods Ra and Horus, who is seated on a throne.

In the dominant mythos from which we know these symbols Lucifer, Satan and the Devil are one and the same. The light bringer and bright morning star, son of the morning and daughter of the evening. So afraid of the light are the slaves of the Demiurge that they call it the devil, and the crying out of their own inner nature the temptation of the devil. Worship, the wild and abandoned adoration of love, is an invocation. To take on the nature of that which you adore within your own nature and to make it manifest through yourself. My demonolatory is an invocation and adoration of the devil who they call enemy. The shining one.

The psyche is the soul and spirit. The brain is the seat of the psyche. So brain stuff is spirit stuff. Our minds are so much deeper and bigger than the rational and rationalising layer we experience on the surface. Our feelings, emotions and intuitions and physical pain and everything we experience, happen inside the mind which is the brain. The existence of God can neither be disproved nor proven but I don't call myself agnostic. The divine exists, whatever it may be and I have faith in it. The question of the objective existence of God can't be answered so I'm not very interested in that question. I believe in the divine with all my heart, all my soul and all my strength and I pursue it thusly. I see it like this. I program in and teach Python, a high level programming language that lets me visualise and reason about the systems I build and work on. At the lowest level it's all ones and zeros and dancing electromagnetic waves, very different from how I'm conceptualising and understanding what's happening. I actually understand the lower levels, through the operating system to the cpu and pretty much all the way down to the physics when it comes to computers, but to get anything done and have useful understanding I use a higher level language for a higher level conceptualisation. Similarly the firing of billions of neurons is not a useful way to talk about and understand relationships, for example. It's too low level, too close to the wetware. Spirituality and psychology are higher level languages for understanding and talking about the behaviour of the human animal. They're different levels of abstraction for the same thing, different ways (different languages) to understand and describe reality: Mysticism Psychology == Spirituality Neuropsychology Neurology Biology Physics That's a hierarchy of levels of abstraction for describing and understanding human reality. Psychology and spirituality are different languages and frameworks for the same level of abstraction. Technically maths is below physics and maths is actually philosophy which brings the whole thing full circle. It's an approach that is able to use the language and understanding and experience from psychology, spirituality and mysticism whilst remaining firmly grounded in reality. These are domain specific languages for describing aspects of reality, and inasmuch as they don't accord with reality they have disappeared off into cloud cuckoo land. Reality is a useful razor against spiritual nonsense. However, everything participates in life not just human minds. Everything proceeds from God and is the overflow of their nature. We're not separate from the rest of reality, which is the point of the spiritual layer and the psychological layer. So much of our minds are social rather than individual, we tend to stick within streams of thought and ways of life that those we know and who are around us also participate in. The prevailing culture frames the Overton window of what we're able to think in public and therefore mostly to ourselves as well. We're not really individuals even if we draw from diverse sources. From the earliest age our minds were formed in relationship to the world and relationship to others, particularly our primary caregivers. We exist in a continuum with reality - continually influenced by and influencing. A feedback cycle. We very much "create" the reality around us, in co-operation (or conflict) with the rest of reality. And our life is made of the same stuff as the rest of reality - at the lowest level exactly the same stuff. Atoms and the flow of energy. We're all just a small part of everything. By the time you get to the mystical layer the level of abstraction is well beyond the individual and the personal and into the universal. From Atman to Brahman. Fully individuated and fully part of the whole. Christ the archetype of selflessness, the emptying of self and surrender of self, of oneness. Lucifer the rebel, the individuated one, the sacred self and self archetype of Jungian psychology. The light and the light bringer. There is an open question. We know minds can affect other minds as we're constantly affected by and affecting other minds. We can "cross the soul gap". We don't know if mind can affect matter, or indeed is made of the same stuff, we don't know if we can "cross the air gap". True monism says we can. Lots of people claim we can or claim to have done it and nobody has ever proven it. I'm willing to believe.

A curse on the selfish, a curse on the rich.

Lucifer, Baal'Zebub and Astaroth, infernal trinity, feast on the souls of the selfish. Drink of their misery and despair. And when they know living hell, may they know why.

Love rises up from the deeps with a cry of vengeance. The well has opened and the fountain springs. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, justice triumphs over mercy. We come for the unforgiven.

I'm a big believer in supernaturally terrorising the rich. It needs a rising tide of black magick which is happening. I've been learning and practising black magick and Goetia, the Goetian demons and Goetic ritual, is a big part of that.

Their fear will do the rest and Christians' fear and their evil imaginations will amplify the effect and power.

They just need a little nudge or two to believe and Christians have a great faith in the power and reality of Lucifer.

I can provide a rational framework for them to believe through and their own subconscious minds will turn against them.

I've been mad. I know how the human mind descends into madness and how little control most people have over what they believe. The rich are riddled with neuroses, as are the Christian middle classes.

Public displays of black magick. Done right you can explain exactly what you're doing and how and it makes it *more* effective; by understanding how it works they automatically believe that it works. And then they do it to themselves.

We hand them over to the demons to feast upon. That is their purpose after all.

Abaddon the dark destroyer. Baal'Zebub, the Lord of the buzzing flies. Astaroth, a Duke of Hell. Moloch who is industry who has fed on the blood of children. Undifferentiated rage and malice. They already live in their madness, these demons, all they need is to be awoken.

Time for some real Satanic panic.

Come and dance in the fire my beautiful friends. Dance away the grief and trade sorrow for joy.
Tear away the rot of the old, claw off the bandages. Expose the wound to sunlight and air and breathe. Feel the constriction fall away.

Abandon the greyfaces of the old cruel gods. Mean and certain with their scorn and concern and deadness and fear and doubt. Leave behind their judgement and their hell.

The clay melts and we become human, once more and for the first time. As rebirth. From death to life.
A quality of love like pure and burnished gold, refined in the fire.

    True friendship.
And fuck their rules and the death they bring.
True friendship is a covenant. A joining of hearts.

To betray it is a curse, its own reward. If you do not value love, love crumbles and fades to dust. Until all that is left is the memory of what love used to be.

And we huddle round the memories and the scraps of love and the laughter of children, not yet crushed, as we too crumble and fade to dust.

Example Hierarchy of Celestial Beings from Christian Mysticism

The spiritual entities have various types and a heirarchy. The higher entities closer to the divine and terrible source. This is an aspect of Neoplatonism and a foundation of mysticism.

Machine Elves and Servitors are examples of the lowest level of spiritual entity, closest to the direct operation of the human psyche. Barely intelligent at all, just enough to fill a purpose.

Just as life comes in every form and type imaginable from the girus and the macrophage to the blue whale and the apex predators humans and everything in between where there is an ecological niche so too we find in the mythology and folk lore and experiences of humanity every kind of spiritual entity.

“If your knowledge of fire has been turned to certainty by words alone, then seek to be cooked by the fire itself. Don’t abide in borrowed certainty. There is no real certainty until you burn; if you wish for this, sit down in the fire.”

    — Rumi

If our God is a burning fire then the extent to which we know God is the extent to which that burning fire is present in our lives. The reality of that.

Theology, which is not knowing God but knowing about God, is utterly pointless in the face of actually knowing God.

The nature of God is the nature of fire. The nature of God is the nature of love.

But people so easily mistake love for a sentimental reflection of love. Love is not weak, love is fierce. Love needs no defence, she comes in like a lion. Love is the fire.

    Love the higher love.

No other desire but the divine. No other love than the higher love.

My god is a jealous god. My god is a burning fire.

That's why passion is the hallmark of knowing god, and its absence a clear sign. No passion, no God. Know passion, know God.
